Whether you’re in the market for an Apple Watch or you’re keen to take advantage of its fitness capabilities, there is an ever-increasing number of apps to track and monitor your all-important metrics. But what are the best Apps for Apple Watch?
We’ve picked a few of our favourite fitness apps that take advantage of Apple’s ever-improving ios software.
Strava
As the saying goes ‘If it ain’t on Strava, it never happened”, so in order to get it there from your watch quickly, the Strava Apple Watch App is an obvious choice. It’s certainly not the most feature-rich solution out there, but if you’re happy with basic details of your activity and want the convenience of immediate transfer of data to Strava, then this is a good way to start.
Annoyingly, the data isn’t customisable, so you’ll quite likely look for an alternative option as your needs become greater.

Nike+ Run Club
Apple partnered with Nike to produce its own version of the watch offering additional watch faces and a Nike specific strap.
But even if you don’t have the Nike version of the watch, the Nike Run Club is a great choice for runners due to the watch-specific app that features guided runs from some of the worlds leading runners like Mo Farah and Eliud Kipchoge, along with world-class coaches to keep you on track and take you through your intervals. They’ve even provided sessions in partnership with the hugely popular Headspace for the mindful runner.

HealthFit
If you are using the native workouts app on Apple Watch, you will no doubt have discovered that frustratingly, there is no way of transferring your data to Strava. Thankfully, HealthFit has come up with a solution to grab your data and transfer it seamlessly.
You can set it to transfer automatically or manually so that you can pick or choose which of your efforts are visible to your loving fitness friends.
Available for a couple of your hard-earned pounds/dollars, we’re fans of HleathFit. It’s worth the small investment if you care about your data.
